Stay Thirsty My Friends: Recharge
(stay hydrated)
Let’s talk : hydration - electrolytes- minerals
At the moment I am catering to Peri Menopause and doing all I can to aid my body during this season. Meanwhile we live on an island, and I am a really active woman. So are my kids, so it’s necessary to stay hydrated as my own knowing that as an easy daily habit, keeping our bodies hydrated will serve our health greatly.
I always make sure my kids have their water bottles where ever they go, no matter what. And, it’s the main staple I tag along with me too. Gotta have water on us.
I didn’t worry too much about adding a supplement unless I was training, doing an extra long event, camping at the beach in extra heat or hard a particular extra sweaty day. It’s hard to keep up when we fall behind due to extra activities, or our environment. So I kept Liquid IV packets, always coconut water around.
Then doTERRA created Recharge. And my body entered Peri. As my kids now older and need extra aid for their athletic bodies. My husband too.
Perfect. Let’s DO THIS.
I LOVE this easy step of adding a packet to water daily. It takes great,( you can choose from Lemon-Lime or Wild Strawberry), feels easy and good in my body. I just broke down the cost and ingredients and ours was just better, had more in ours and cost matched for the quality. You can scroll down to see and make some of your own comparisons.
doTERRA’s is 39.50 for 30 sachets. That’s 1.31 per serving. With that you get this: ( lemon lime breakdown)

Deep Dive …
Water makes up over 2/3 of a healthy human body. It lubricates the joints and eyes, aids digestion, flushes out waste and toxins, and keeps the skin healthy. Dehydration occurs when the normal water content in the body is reduced. This upsets the balance of salts and sugars in the body, which affects the way it functions. Staying hydrated is a simple but important way to keep your body functioning at its best.
Over 75% of us are dehydrated and lacking daily nutritional balance of key electrolytes to keep cells charged and energized. Hydration is key to a healthy metabolism, and healthy cells cannot produce energy without it. Electrolytes are essential for various bodily functions, like maintaining proper muscle and nerve function and regulating your body’s fluid balance.
Water alone isn’t enough. MetaPWR Recharge provides an exclusive blend of electrolytes involved in cellular hydration, including extracts like baobab and deep-sea ocean minerals from the Kuroshio Current in the Pacific Ocean. Together, these ingredients make water work more cooperatively with your cells so you don’t have to work hard to stay hydrated.
Why now for me…. Peri is HERE!
From a basic search form my most trusted leaders in Peri Menopause. Here is why I need them more so now.
Electrolytes can help with hormonal balance and other symptoms during perimenopause. They help maintain fluid balance, which can help with hot flashes, night sweats, and brain fog.
What electrolytes are important during perimenopause?
Sodium: Helps maintain fluid balance and electrochemical balance
Potassium: Helps manage blood pressure
Calcium: Helps maintain fluid balance and electrochemical balance
Magnesium: Helps reduce hot flashes and improve sleep quality
How can you get electrolytes during perimenopause?
Drink water: Staying hydrated can help relieve hormonal symptoms. Experts recommend drinking about 2 liters (6–8 cups) a day.
Eat foods that contain electrolytes: Foods like watermelon, cucumber, or lettuce can provide essential electrolytes and nutrients.
Take supplements: Magnesium supplements can help with sleep and hot flashes.
Why are electrolytes important during perimenopause?
Hormonal imbalances during perimenopause can cause fluctuations in fluid levels.
Excessive sweating can deplete the body's water and electrolyte stores.
Electrolytes help maintain fluid balance, which can help with temperature regulation.
On our teens, kids. Why are mine camels?! Their water bottles, though I insist on them staying full and near by are usually full UNLESS they are doing their activities. When they have a long day of dance, soccer, volleyball or out in the sun- surfing/ beach days then I add these. Often a half a packet is enough for Naila ( age 10). Daysha ( age 14) can have a full one.
